Latta Plantation nature preserve holds free hikes for adults twice monthly, with the next one set for 9-11 am Nov. 27.
Join park staff for a fun nature hike (adults only) along the park's many trails. Walks take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays. Meet at the visitor center near the park entrance. The hikes are free and require no registration. Get more details at www.parkandrec.com or 704-875-1391. The park is at 6211 Sample Road, a couple of miles north of I-485 on Beatties Ford Road.
